Why a Blog on Politics and Religion?

If you live in the United States and follow current events, you undoubtedly have encountered an increased polarization in the areas of politics and religion. Long gone are the days of sincere questioning and reasoned debate. Instead, we are bombarded with an avalanche of partisan rhetoric and an ever present push to "pick a side"- Democrat or Republican, religious or atheist. In public discourse today you usually cannot find middle ground, a sincere discussion about the issues and often times, you can't even find the point. Don't despair, all is not lost. We invite you to walk with us and "take the path less traveled" as we journey to provoke serious thought and offer a different perspective- one from a layman. The path may not always be clear and unencumbered, but the view will certainly be amazing!
